Sadiya Haruna

Operations Manager Project Nima, Ghana

My name is Sadiya Haruna Bandago. Currently a university graduate of Medical Laboratory Science. I come from Bawku in the Upper East Region, but grew up in Nima where I learned the value of community and the importance of helping others.
As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to better understand the serious challenges many young people face, including corruption, child trafficking, and child labour. These issues motivate me to work toward creating safer and fairer opportunities for children and families.
My connection to Project Nima began when I was much younger, and the passion I had then has only become stronger. I want to support the organization not just as an ambassador(now the Operations Manager)but as someone who is committed to real, long-term change. I believe Project Nima can continue to grow into a truly impactful global organization, and I want to contribute to that growth. I started working in project Nima officially in 2023 and that was how I was able to go to school.
Through my education and community work, I hope to use my skills and experiences to support Project Nima’s mission and to help protect and empower children. This goal is deeply personal to me, and I’m determined to be part of a positive change.
