I have followed Project Nima from its humble beginnings in 2011 to the international organisation it is today. I believe in this fantastic organisation, built on mutual exchange instead of one-way charity. I do so, not only because I have seen the joy and hope that comes from Project Nima's empowering work, but also because I believe that it is a sustainable model for future development. As an economist by profession I continously study what makes certain countries economically successful. Although there is no one-size-fits-all solution, solid societal institutions and an educated workforce have proven vital for sustained economic growth.

By working to educate and actively engage young people in the fight against child labour and corruption, Project Nima helps to inspire future generations in building better societal institutions. And by assisting with education, developing its own training material and making young people into educators, Project Nima helps to create curious and knowledgable people – who may one day become future leaders. This is important, not only for a developing country like Ghana, but also for Sweden – a country dependent on the international market and in need of correct information about the wider world. This is why I am proud to support and volunteer for Project Nima!
